Another Free Seminar: Staying Fit for the Holidays

In collaboration with Penguin Books and The Southtowns Family YMCA, Dog Ears Bookstore, 688 Abbott Road (behind the Caz Coffee Café), will host a free fitness seminar on November 12th at 7 pm.

This is the second in the series of free seminars sponsored by the bookstore. This seminar will focus on staying fit throughout the winter, especially the calorie abundant holiday season.

Erica Tempestoso, Wellness Director at The YMCA, will be at the bookstore to discuss methods of staying fit in the eyes (and hips) of pies and snacks, show proper workout techniques and talk about some fine books that suggest fitness and recipes to keep the taste and spare the waist. Erica will also talk about health and wellness and answer questions about YMCA programs and ways to exercise that cut time and add effectiveness. There will also be YMCA promotions, workout information and membership literature available (and more!!). Our friends at Penguin Books have supplied fantastic reads that keep in mind our desires and the need to stay healthy, especially in this precarious flu and sickness season.

The seminar is open to the public. For more information call Tom McDonnell at 823-2665
